Reach Out Program – Providence Christian School is certified by Washington State to offer courses through an Extension Program. Home school families may “Stretch Up or Jump In” to our Christian Bible based learning environment with classmates and a teacher offering as little or as much help as needed. Stretch Up – Students may be home schooled and registered with Providence Christian School. A certified teacher will meet with the student and parent one hour per week. The teacher will review the student's work on a weekly basis, help with suggestions for curriculum and oversee requirements for graduation. The school will maintain records and issue report cards and transcripts for High School. All credits are transferable to other schools and acceptable at most colleges. Jump In – Home schooled students may want to attend part time for courses that are of particular interest or have proven difficult in the home setting. The High School program is structured to allow attendance two days per week to secure the 75 hours (.5 credit) or the 150 hours (1.0 credit). Classes are scheduled Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday. The students will be assessed and receive grades on Providence Christian School report cards or transcripts. Reach Out courses are 18 weeks long, that is one semester to complete a course for credit. All subjects are open to part time students although space is limited and the discretion of the school. |
